Andrea Meza from Chihuahua won Mexicana Universal 2020 competition
Andrea Meza from Chihuahua was crowned the winner of Mexicana Universal 2020 competition held on November 29, 2020 at Hotel Mision Grand Juriquilla in Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico. Along with winning this prestigious competition, she also won the rights to represent Mexico at the world’s biggest and most celebrated international beauty pageant – Miss Universe scheduled to take place in following months.
Alma Andrea Meza Carmona hails from Chihuahua City in Chihuahua. She holds a degree in software engineering from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua and is a model by profession. She stands 5 ft. and 11 inches tall and has dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Earlier this year, she was also elected Mexicana Universal Chihuahua. In past, she had also won Miss Chihuahua 2016 and Miss Mexico 2016 titles, making her the only Mexican model to win two of the biggest national level beauty pageants in her country.
In 2017, she represented Mexico at Miss World 2017 competition and was crowned first runner-up. After successfully completing her reign as Miss Mexico 2016 and Miss World 2017 – Runner up, she returned to modelling for next two years. In 2020, she made a comeback to the place where it all began and went on to win the biggest and oldest running national beauty pageant of Mexico – Mexicana Universal. She was a crowd favorite candidate at all the beauty pageants she entered. In just a short span of time, she has also become the number 1 choice for all the pageant enthusiasts and experts for the title of next Miss Universe. She is also one of the very few women in the world to compete at two of the biggest and most prestigious international beauty pageants in the world – Miss Universe and Miss World.
