Exclusive interview: Armaan Hakim, Rubaru Mr. India finalist

Armaan Hakim from Mumbai has been selected as one of the finalists for the upcoming edition of India’s biggest men’s pageant – Rubaru Mr. India. The national finale of the event is scheduled to take place in coming months. Armaan stands 6 ft. and 2 inches tall and holds a degree in science. He is a merchant navy officer by profession. In this exclusive interview, he talks about his life and the experiences that made him what he is today.

Q. Many congratulations to you for making it to the finals of Rubaru Mr. India contest. How do you feel about it?
Armaan Hakim:
Thank you so much. I feel so happy that I made it to the finale of the pageant. It is the foremost men’s pageant in the country and it is indeed an honor for me to be a part of it. I am also thankful to all the people who supported me and made it possible.

Q. Tell us something about your hobbies and areas of interest.
Armaan Hakim:
I am very much concerned my fitness and health. I like to work out to stay fit. Also, I follow a very strict diet accompanied by various other forms of exercises. I strongly believe in the saying: ‘health is wealth’. Along with this, I like to basketball. It is one of favorite sports. 

Q. Describe yourself in three words.
Armaan Hakim:
Perseverance, optimistic and considerate.

Q. In your opinion, what is the best way to deal with criticism?
Armaan Hakim:
Confronting it and analyzing where things went wrong. Running away from it or ignoring it is not going to help. The best way to deal with criticism is to face it with a confident and dignified approach. We all must remember, nobody is perfect. Some people are just good at hiding their flaws.

Q. When you look back in time, what do you believe has been your greatest lesson?
Armaan Hakim:
There are many lessons that I learnt growing up and I am still in that process. Life is all about learning and growing. Whatever I am today is all because of the decisions I made in past, which were the results of the lessons I learnt. So, I cannot pick any one particular lesson that has a profound impact on me. Whatever I have been through and the things that I have learnt, they have all contributed to the person I am today.

Q. Lastly, any message for the readers and your well-wishers.
Armaan Hakim:
Thank you so much guys for all your support and wishes. Dark times have gripped the world however, sooner or later, thing will get back to normal. We all need to be patient and cooperative. Also, once again, it is my humble request to all the youngsters out there, please eat healthy, stay fit and support others who are in need. Take care of yourself so that you can take care of your near and dear ones. Thank you.

In coming months, this very good-looking gentleman will be seen walking down the runway the 17th edition of Rubaru Mr. India contest. Rubaru Mr. India is India’s biggest and most prestigious national level pageant for men. The pageant is owned by Rubaru Group. The winners / top placers of the pageant represent India at some of the biggest and most well-established international pageants across the globe. The Rubaru Mr. India pageant was created in the year 2004 and has been happening annually ever since its inception, making it the oldest existing annual male pageant in India. Since the pageant’s inception in the year 2004, the pageant has sent India’s representatives to more than 15 different international pageants and modelling competitions for men. The pageant also holds the record of being associated with the maximum number of international modelling organizations in India. The pageant is regarded as one of the most successful national male pageants in the world for producing multiple international titleholders and award winners over the years.
