Q. Many congratulations to you for making it to the national finals of Rubaru Mrs India 2021 beauty pageant. How do you feel about it?
Shreelatha Sewak: Thank you. I am so happy that I have been selected as one of the finalists for Rubaru Mrs. India beauty pageant this year. Beauty pageants are platforms that provide women an opportunity to show their skills and abilities, they give us a stage where we can express our views and opinions addressing people at a larger scale. Our voices and choices can reach to a far greater number of people via such platforms, and I am happy to be part of such an arena.
Q. Please tell us about your hobbies and areas of interest.
Shreelatha Sewak: I enjoy dancing. It helps me express myself and my emotions without using any words. It also acts as a stress buster for me.
Q. Describe yourself in three words.
Shreelatha Sewak: Flexible, optimistic and self-believer
Q. In your opinion, what is the best way to handle criticism?
Shreelatha Sewak: No living being is perfect. We all have flaws. Introspection is something that I practice to handle criticism. It helps me understand the kind of circumstances that I face.
Q. What is the biggest lesson that life has taught you?
Shreelatha Sewak: Remember to look on the brighter side of life. Friends change, ambitions change, life changes, and there’s nothing we can do about it but to accept it wholeheartedly. We may not believe it right now, but changes do make us better versions of ourselves. I believe that God has put us all in our respective places for a reason. Have trust and faith in that reason.
Q. Who or what has been your greatest support in life?
Shreelatha Sewak: The God and then my family.
Q. Any quote or saying that has profound impact on you.
Shreelatha Sewak: “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do, makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make. In life, you get what you put in. When you make a positive impact in someone else’s life, you also make a positive impact in your own life.”
Q. Lastly, any message for the readers.
Shreelatha Sewak: Always be among those who give something and expect nothing. Be kind, love more, hate less, listen more, opine less, appreciate more, judge less, read more, walk more, pollute less, enjoy more, give more, take less, and be kind.
