Exclusive Interview – Wachi Pareek, the reigning Glamanand Miss Teen India Universe
Wachi Pareek from Maharashtra was crowned Miss Teen India Universe at the national finale of Miss Teen Diva 2020 beauty pageant, concluded on January 25, 2021, at Kingdom of Dreams in Gurugram. Wachi will serve as India’s representative at Miss Teen Universe competition, scheduled to take place at the end of this year. She is a student of business administration and management at the Indira College of Commerce and Science, Pune. In this exclusive interview, she talks about her journey to the coveted title of Miss Teen India Universe and her future plans.
Q. First of all, many congratulations to you on winning the Glamanand Miss Teen India Universe title. How do you feel about it?
Wachi Pareek: Thank you. The feeling is impeccable; words simply cannot do justice to how I feel about holding such a prestigious title. Knowing that I would be called ‘India’ at an international platform fills my heart with immense pleasure and joy. I feel truly honored and humbled that I have been bestowed with an opportunity to make my nation proud.
Q. What was your reaction, when your name was announced at the grand finale of the pageant?
Wachi Pareek: It took me a moment to realize that my name was actually announced. It was my dream to win a national pageant and that very moment, my most beautiful dream turned in to the most beautiful reality of my life.
Q. What was the most challenging part / phase during the Miss Teen Diva 2020 beauty pageant?
Wachi Pareek: The entire journey was a great challenge in itself. However, the one thing that I believe had been the greatest challenge for me was to maintain the same energy-level throughout the pageant. Each day, I tried to put more and more efforts in order to ensure that I deliver my best in every possible way.
Q. What was the most memorable moment for you from the entire journey that you covered at Miss Teen Diva 2020 beauty pageant?
Wachi Pareek: Absolutely nothing beats the feeling of hearing your name announced as Miss Teen Universe India and of course being crowned. That was the most memorable moment for me and I still get goosebumps whenever I think about it.
Q. You will serve as India’s representative at the Miss Teen Universe competition in future. How do you feel about it?
Wachi Pareek: I feel ecstatic, being called ‘India; at an international platform is itself a matter of great pride and honor. I understand the significance of the responsibility that I have to shoulder. My main focus is to deliver my best at the next edition of Miss Teen Universe competition. I have already started my preparations for the same so that I can deliver my best and make my nation proud.
Q. Who / What has been your greatest support in life?
Wachi Pareek: My family; and my mother especially has been my powerhouse. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful and extremely supportive family. They are like the wind beneath my wings, and I know with them I can see myself excel further in my life.
Q. Who is your inspiration or role model?
Wachi Pareek: Like many say the younger ones absorb from the older, much like that I have always had the opportunity to learn and absorb from my elder sister. She has always been a person whom I have never seen quitting and it is from her I have learnt that no matter how many times you fail you have to try again.
Q. Lastly, any message for the readers.
Wachi Pareek: I would like to say thank you for showing your immense love and support. I promise that I would put my best foot forward at the international platform and make our country proud.
