Gwalior’s Apoorva Sharma wins Star Steps 2021 scholarship
On August 29, 2021, she won a national beauty pageant and almost a week after her victory, she was awarded a free scholarship of worth INR 70,000 by the Star Steps India academy. Apoorva Sharma, the winner of Rubaru Miss India Elite 2021 competition, has been awarded a scholarship to receive free training at Star Steps India beauty pageant training academy for six months.
On September 5, 2021, the founder and director of Star Steps India academy, Meenakshi Mathur released an official statement announcing Apoorva Sharma as the winner of Star Steps 2021 scholarship program. The former beauty queen stated, “Star Steps India announces annual scholarship program. Now, every year, we will provide free of cost training and grooming for 6 months, worth INR 70,000, to 1 most deserving Indian candidate. This year, we are pleased to declare that Miss Cosmopolitan World India 2021, Apoorva Sharma as the recipient of this prestigious scholarship. Aproove Sharma was crowned Rubaru Miss Cosmopolitan World India at the national finals of Rubaru Miss India Elite 2021 contest, held on August 29, 2021, at City Park Resort, in New Delhi. Along with winning this prestigious title, she also won the rights to represent India at the international beauty pageant – Miss Cosmopolitan World, scheduled to take place in Malaysia, in coming months.
About the academy: Star Steps India – Star Steps India is the first and foremost beauty pageant training academy based in Central India. The academy was established by former beauty queen and international pageant award-winning model, Meenakshi Mathur in Gwalior City. Over the years, the academy has produced several beauty queens that have won national beauty pageants and special awards. Earlier, in 2019, Evneet Kaur Juneja, a Star Steps India alumna, was crowned Rubaru Miss Globe India 2019-2020 and went on to become the first Indian beauty queen to win Best International Model award.
