“I will give my best and make my supporters proud,” says Indian beauty queen, Nakita Fernandes from Goa
A beautiful face and a toned physique, if you believe these two qualities are everything that is required to win a beauty pageant then it is not true any longer. Gone are the days when the girl with the most beautiful face and a well-toned physique used to walk away with the winner’s crown. These days, beauty pageants have become much more than a model hunt event. Qualities like confidence, intellect, personality, attitude, discipline and communication skills, which are not superficial, are also taken under consideration along with looks while electing the contest’s winner. Joining the golden list of the country’s national beauty pageant titleholders and taking the legacy forward is this year’s Rubaru Miss World Beauty Queen India, Nakita Tania Fernandes from Goa.
Nakita Tania Fernandes hailing from Saligao won Rubaru Miss World Beauty Queen India 2019 title in New Delhi earlier this year in the month of March. Winning the title bestowed Nakita with the golden opportunity to represent India at international modelling competition, World Beauty Queen 2019 based in South Korea. Nakita is a model and a student at Saraswat Vidyalayas Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies. She is 19 years old and stands 5 ft and 6.5 inches tall. She has black hair and black eyes. Prior to winning Rubaru Miss World Beauty Queen 2019 title, she was a runner up at Miss Goa 2018 competition.
Speaking about shouldering the colossal responsibility of representing India at an international platform she mentioned, “I am extremely honoured and humbled that I got the opportunity of representing India at an international platform. I always wanted to do something for my nation and finally, I got the opportunity this year (2019). The most beautiful part of representing your nation at an international beauty pageant is that there no one calls you by your name, rather you get addressed by your nation’s name and it is a matter of huge pride and honour.” She further added, “I would like to thank every single person who supported me in this beautiful journey that I began almost a year ago and soon I will fly to South Korea for World Beauty Queen 2019 contest. I will surely give my best and make my nation and all my supporters proud. Please keep supporting me.”
Models from all around the world will travel to South Korea to take part in World Beauty Queen 2019 contest. The world finale the said international beauty contest will take place on August 28, 2019 at KBS Arena in South Korea. At the conclusion of the event, the best performing candidate will get awarded with the winner’s crown by the last year’s winner, Russian supermodel, Alisa Manyonok.
