India’s Evneet Kaur Juneja made the country proud by placing amongst the best 15 models at the Miss Globe 2019 beauty pageant concluded on October 21, 2019 in Montenegro. Earlier this year, she won the Rubaru Miss Globe India 2019 title and subsequently represented India at the Miss Globe 2019 beauty pageant. The Miss Globe beauty pageant is one of the biggest and oldest running international beauty pageants in the world. The pageant is run by Deliart Association headed by Petri Bozo. This year’s pageant commenced on October 6, 2019 in Albania where most of the pre-finale activities took place and the world finale of the pageant happened on October 21, 2019 in Montenegro.

In this exclusive interview, Evneet Kaur Juneja talks about her experience in Albania and Montenegro during the Miss Globe 2019 beauty pageant.
Q. First of all, many congratulations for making it to the finals of the Miss Globe 2019 beauty pageant and placing amongst the best 15 in the pageant. How do you feel about it?
Evneet Kaur: Thank you so much for these lovely wishes. It was indeed a very big responsibility to represent India at the Miss Globe 2019 beauty pageant. I feel truly honored and humbled that I got this golden opportunity. I am so happy and grateful that I made it to the best 15 at the pageant. The most important thing for me was to show the world our rich Indian culture and heritage and I am glad that I was able to do so. I received so much of love and so many blessings that I feel like all my hardwork and dedication had paid off. I would like to thank each and every person who supported me in this beautiful journey. Thank you so much. It was because of all the love and support of my well-wishers that boosted my confidence and I was able to do justice to the title I won in India and make the nation proud internationally.

Q. How did you prepare for the pageant?
Evneet Kaur: The preparations began even before I won Rubaru Miss Globe India 2019 title in the month of March, and for this I would like to thank my mentor and trainer, Meenakshi Mathur, the founder of Star Steps Academy. She helped prepare for both the pageants I entered (Rubaru Miss India Elite 2019 and The Miss Globe 2019). While competing at a beauty pageant, just a beautiful face is not enough to make your presence felt. You need to be a complete package. This same thing was in my mind. I worked on my communication skills, runway skills, presentation and fitness. I wanted to be the best version of myself as only by doing so, I would have been able to represent my country in the best way. When you go for an international pageant, you no longer remain an individual rather you become the face of the country that you are representing; so delivering your best is not a choice but a requirement. I had the same thing in my mind and I am happy that I was able to make my nation and supporters proud.

Q. What was the most memorable moment during the international pageant that culminated in Montenegro?
Evneet Kaur: It is difficult to pick one moment as the entire journey was so beautiful. One of the best parts about being a candidate at an international beauty pageant is that you get the opportunity to meet so many different people from different places in the world. You get know about their culture and experiences. Along with that you get the opportunity to meet the people of the host nation and for me meeting the people of Albania and Montenegro was one of the highlights of my journey. They were all so caring and supportive that I felt like I was at home. I did not feel like I have come from a different place. I would like to extend my humblest gratitude to the people of Albania and Montenegro who welcomed all of us to their beautiful nations and supported us during the pageant. These 18 days of my life indeed looked like a beautiful dream that I lived, the only difference was that this dream was real.

Q. What was the best part of the journey that you covered during the Miss Globe beauty pageant?
Evneet Kaur: It is indeed very difficult to pick one as all the moments that I spent in Albania and Montenegro during the pageant were so special. However, being addressed as Miss India was the best part of the pageant. I felt so humbled and honored that I was being addressed by my country’s name and every time India or Miss India was mentioned, I used to feel very blessed that I had the honor being the face of my country at such a big platform. For me it was all about creating memories and gathering as much love as I could so that whenever I look back in time all I get is these blissful moments to cherish. Even today, when I think about the days I spent in Albania and Montenegro, a big smile comes to my face. Those moments were indeed magical.

Q. What was the most challenging part during the pageant?
Evneet Kaur: The entire pageant was challenging as there were so many equally beautiful and talented girls for different parts of the world attending the event. Every single girl there came extremely well-prepared and had a very pleasant personality. Instead of taking this pageant as a challenge, I looked at it as an opportunity to learn new things and discover more about myself. Every day, I used to get inspired by all the lovely candidates that I met as every candidate had her story and I learnt a lot from all my fellow contestants. For me it was like a beautiful journey that bestowed me with great friends, lovely memories and several new lessons that I learnt.
Q. Any message for the readers and the people who supported you.
Evneet Kaur: First of all, I would like to thank everyone for all the love and support that I received. Your love and support has never made me doubt myself. I have been very confident about myself just because you people have been supporting me. A big thanks to that very person who had been a part of this journey and making me realize that I was never walking alone. Just saying “thank you” is not enough for whatever you guys have done for me. Please keep supporting me and I shall never let you down.
