Indian model, Ashwani Neeraj becomes the first Asian to win Mr. Grand International contest

India’s Ashwani Neeraj won the Mr. Grand International 2019 competition held on November 9, 2019 at Av. Pedro Adams Filho, Novo Hamburgo in Brazil. This is for the very first time that India has won this prestigious international pageant for men. Apart from winning the main title, Ashwani also won the special award for Best National Costume at the said international pageant. Ashwani Neeraj is also the very first Asian delegate to win the Mr. Grand International pageant. Models from different parts of the world travelled to Brazil to take part in this international extravaganza of fashion. At the conclusion of the event, the very charming Indian gentleman from Mumbai was declared the event’s winner.

Mr. Grand International is an annual international pageant for men, based in Brazil. The pageant is run by Job’s Model Management Company headed by Brazilian entrepreneur, Brunno Job. The pageant is one of the most well-established international pageants for men, based in the Latin American region. In India, Rubaru Mr. India pageant organized by Rubaru Group, holds the exclusive rights to send India’s representative(s) to Mr. Grand International pageant.

Last year (2018), Ashwani Neeraj won the annual Rubaru Mr India competition held on March 10, 2018 in Goa, India and earlier this year (2019), the Rubaru Group, the parent organization of Rubaru Mr. India contest appointed Ashwani to represent India at Mr. Grand International contest. The Rubaru Mr. India pageant is India’s biggest and oldest running annual pageant for men. The pageant was created in the year 2004 and has been happening annually ever since its inception.

Ashwani Neeraj belongs to the city of New Delhi and currently resides in Mumbai. He completed his higher education in business administration from Amity University and IP University. He is 25 years old and is a businessman, actor and model by profession. He stands 5 foot and 11 inches tall and has brown hair and greenish-brown eyes. He is also cited as one of the best looking Mr. India winners ever to get elected. He will now spend next one year fulfilling the duties that has come with the title that he won. Along with this, he will also get the opportunity to attend a series of fashion and social events.
