India’s Aayushi Dholakia won Miss Teen International 2019 competition
This year’s (2019) Miss Teen International competition concluded with the crowning of India’s Aayushi Dholakia as the event’s winner. She was crowned Miss Teen International 2019 at the world finale of the 2019 Miss Teen International competition culminated on December 19, 2019 at Kingdom of Dreams in Gurugram, India. Apart from winning the prestigious crown, she also won Best National Costume and Best in Speech special awards at the said international beauty pageant. Aayushi Dholakia is the first Asian and Indian delegate to win the prestigious Miss Teen International crown. Earlier this year, she was also crowned Miss Teen International India.
At the same event, Paraguay’s Yessenia Garcia was crowned first runner-up and Botswana’s Anicia Gaothusi was crowned second runner-up and Miss Teen Africa. Other continental champions at this year’s Miss Teen International competition included Vietnam’s Thu Pham (Miss Teen Asia), Italy’s Maria Luisa Piras (Miss Teen Europe) and Brazil’s Alessandra Santos (Miss Teen Americas).
Miss Teen International is an annual international beauty contest. It is the biggest and oldest running international teen beauty pageant. The pageant is run by Glamanand Group headed by Indian entrepreneur and former model, Nikhil Anand. The pageant is regarded as the most prestigious international teen beauty pageant in the world.
This year’s winner, Aayushi Dholakia is a student at Anand Vidyavihar School, Vadodara. She is in eleventh grade and masters various dance forms. She is also a sportsperson and has taken part in several zonal and state-level sports competitions. At the age of 14, she established a Happy Go Happy Club to organize various activities at old age homes. She is the Interact District Representative for Rotary District 3060 and also the current president of the Interact Club of Baroda Cosmopolitan.
This year’s Miss Teen International competition began in the first week of the month of December. Delegates from different parts of the world travelled to India to take part in this prestigious international event. They were judged on various parameters like confidence, personality, runway skills, communication skills, on and off stage presentation, on and off camera presentation, beauty, grace, poise and many more. The candidates took part in different segments of the pageant that included the head to head challenge, talent competition, individual interviews, sports competition, top model round and beauty with a purpose presentation round. The final judgement was made by taking under consideration the performances of the candidates during all these preliminary events and the overall performance of each candidate during and prior to the finale. The winner, Aayushi Dholakia won numerous awards and prizes along with winning that prestigious Miss Teen International crown. Soon, she will begin her duties as Miss Teen International 2019 and will travel to different places working for the several social causes supported by the Miss Teen International Organization. She will also take part in various social and fashion events across the globe in coming months.
