India’s Nakita Tania Fernandes crowned 2nd runner up at World Beauty Queen 2019 pageant
Nakita Tania Fernandes recently achieved the highest placement for India at international modelling competition, World Beauty Queen based in Korea. Nakita was awarded with the title of second runner up at World Beauty Queen 2019 competition concluded on August 27, 2019 at KBS arena in Korea. She is the first and only Indian model till date to enter the top 3 of the said international fashion event. This year, Nakita also achieved the highest placement at the pageant amongst all the Asian countries that participated in the event.
World Beauty Queen is an international modelling competition based in Korea. The pageant is owned by Korean entrepreneur and pageant guru, Ricky Junghoon Jun. He is one the most successful pageant owners in Korea and has played a vital role in taking the Korean pageant industry to a new level.
Nakita hails from the city of Saligao in the state of Goa. She is a model and a student at Saraswat Vidyalayas Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies. This 19 year old beauty queen stands 5 foot and 6.5 inches tall and has black hair and black eyes. Earlier this year, she participated in the annual Rubaru Miss India Elite beauty pageant and was crowned Rubaru World Beauty Queen India 2019. Winning this prestigious title awarded Nakita the rights to represent India at World Beauty Queen 2019 pageant. Prior to winning the Rubaru Would Beauty Queen 2019 title, Nakita was a runner up at Miss Goa 2018 competition organized by the biggest media house of Goa, The Neutral View (TNV).
This year’s World Beauty Queen pageant commenced on August 16, 2019. Models from different parts of the world travelled to Korea to take part in this international extravaganza of beauty and fashion. They took part in a series of preliminary challenges, photo shoots and runway shows. During this 11 day long international fashion event, the candidates were judged on various parameters like beauty, grace, poise, confidence and communication skills to name few. They competed in five major segments of the pageant that included national costume show, evening gown competition, swimwear / health and fitness round, talent competition and individual interview segment. At the pageant, Nakita wowed everyone with her incredibly gorgeous looks and remarkably well-spoken and confident personality.
In India, Rubaru Miss India Elite pageant holds the exclusive rights to send India’s representatives to the World Beauty Queen competition. The Rubaru Miss India Elite pageant is an annual beauty pageant in India. It was created by Rubaru Group in the year 2004 making it one of the oldest surviving annual beauty pageants in India. Since, the pageant’s inception in the year 2004, the pageant has sent India’s representatives to more than 10 different international beauty pageants and holds the record of being the only Indian beauty pageant to be associated with maximum number of international pageant organizations.
