“It took us 17 years to have a winner from Sikkim, but when we did, we found a rare diamond,” said Pankaj Kharbanda, while speaking about the new winner of Rubaru Mr. India competition, hailing from the state of Sikkim.
While expressing his gratitude to the Northeastern state, the vice president of the pageant, Pankaj mentioned, “It is often said that the best things in life take time to occur and we completely agree with that. It took us 17 years to get a winner from Sikkim, but when we did, we found a rare diamond. We will always remain grateful to the Indian state of Sikkim, the Mr. Sikkim Manhunt contest (our state level pageant partner) and Mr. Yougan Tamang for giving us such an amazing winner; he is a very rare diamond whose radiance and shine will never diminish.”
This year, the state of Sikkim marked its debut at Rubaru Mr. India competition with Tseteej Shiwakoty.
