KF camp alumna, Abena Appiah representing the US won Miss Grand International contest

In a historic first, KF camp trained beauty, Abena Appiah won the prestigious Miss Grand International competition held in Thailand. Abena Appiah represented the United States of America at the seventh edition of Miss Grand International pageant. The event culminated on March 27, 2021 at Show DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. Abena is the very first woman from the United States to win Miss Grand International pageant.
At the same event, another KF camp trained beauty queen and former Binibining Pilipinas titleholder, Samantha Bernardo was crowned first runner-up. While expressing his happiness, the founder and director of Kagandahang Flores beauty pageant training institute, Rodin Gilbert B.flores mentioned, “And the last two ladies standing for the title of Miss Grand International 2020 are proudly KF trained. Miss Grand International 2020 (First runner-up) – Samantha Bernardo from Philippines and Miss Grand International 2020, Abena Appiah from the United States. Mighty proud of you ladies.”
The Kagandahang Flores camp or the KF camp is one of the biggest and most successful beauty pageant training academies in the world. The camp has trained several aspirants who went on to win some of the most prestigious national as well as international beauty pageants in the world. Founded by Filipino entrepreneur and engineer, Rodin Gilbert B Flores in the mid-1990’s, the Kagandahang Flores camp is one of the oldest running beauty pageant training academies in the world. Rodin Gilbert B Flores or Rodgil Flores came up with the idea of establishing the KF Camp after the Philippines hosted the biggest international beauty pageant in the world – the Miss Universe pageant in the year 1994. Eventually, the camp became the powerhouse of beauty queens.
