Meet the new Mr Arunachal titleholders, Tumken Sora, Duge Buchi and Waison Sangwal
Mr Arunachal 2019 competition successfully concluded on November 30, 2019 at DK Convention Hall in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Tumken Sora from the Lepa Rada district of Arunachal Pradesh was elected the new winner of Mr. Arunachal pageant at the conclusion of the event. He also won Best Walk special award at the pageant. At the same event, Lower Siang’s Duge Buchi won the first runner-up title and Changlang’s Waison Sangwal won the second runner-up title.
Apart from this, four other special award winners were also awarded at the coronation gala of the pageant – Kurung Kumey’s Bengia Halley won Best Costume special award; Lower Siang’s Duge Buchi won Mr. Talent special award; Pakke Kessang’s Samson Techi Tara won Mr. Fitness special award and Upper Subansiri’s Tapo Nalo won Viewers’ Choice special award.
The event was organized by Aries Group and was supported by the government of Arunachal Pradesh. The pageant was covered by some of the biggest media organizations of Arunachal Pradesh. Along with winning this prestigious title, Tumken Sora also got direct entry to the final show of India’s biggest annual pageant for men – Rubaru Mr India scheduled to take place in the month of March next year (2020).
Mr. Arunachal is an annual state-level pageant for men. The pageant is run by Aries Group headed and managed by Taniya Budh (President) and Tarh Rekam (Vice president). The pageant is the biggest state-level pageant in Arunachal Pradesh and is supported by the state government. The winner of Mr. Arunachal contest gets a direct entry to the national finale of India’s oldest running annual pageant for men – Rubaru Mr. India. This year’s Mr. Arunachal pageant was attended by the vice president of Rubaru Mr. India contest, Pankaj Kharbanda; Rubaru Mr. India 2018 (Runner-up), Dilip Patel and Miss NEFA Arunachal, Dichenla Wangmo. The event was graced by Mama Natung and Kipa Babu.
Rubaru Mr. India is India’s biggest and most prestigious national level pageant for men. The pageant is owned by Rubaru Group headed by its founder and president, Sandeep Kumar. The winners / top placers of the pageant represent India at some of the biggest and most well-established international pageants across the globe. The Rubaru Mr. India pageant was created in the year 2004 and has been happening annually ever since its inception, making it the oldest existing annual male pageant in India. Since the pageant’s inception in the year 2004, the pageant has sent India’s representatives to more than 15 different international pageants and modelling competitions for men. The pageant also holds the records of being associated to the maximum number of international modelling organizations in India. The pageant is regarded as one of the most successful national male pageants in the world for producing multiple international titleholders and award winners over the years.
