Nikhil Anand’s inspiring journey from being a model to becoming the youngest pageant owner in the world
He may have been described as the quintessential neophyte to the Indian pageant industry in the past however today, he is regarded as one of the most successful pageant owners in the world. His journey from being a collage aspirant to becoming the visionary gentleman who mastered the art of pageant direction and development is a pure tale of persistence, hardwork, dedication and resilience.
Today, Nikhil Anand is the chairperson of 5 beauty pageants that include Miss Multinational, Miss Teen International, Miss Teen Diva, Miss Teen International India and Glamanand Supermodel India. He wears the crown of being the youngest international pageant owner in the history of pageantry and is regarded as one of the most influential pageant directors in India. However, things were always not the same for him. He had to walk a path that was full of risks, hurdles and challenges to get the place where he is today. Let us have a look at his inspiring journey and some of the milestones that he has achieved his career till now.
Nikhil belongs to the city of Darbhanga in the Indian state of Bihar. He completed his schooling from Woodbine Modern School. After completing his schooling, he moved to New Delhi for his higher education. At the same time, he started working as a model. As a teenager, Nikhil entered Mr. North India contest and that was the decision that changed his life. Fascinated by the glitzy world of beauty pageants, Nikhil launched his own company – Glamanand at the age of 19, and organized the very first beauty pageant under the Glamanand franchise – Glamanand Supermodel India.
The year 2015, introduced a new milestone in his life when he was offered the Miss Earth beauty pageant’s franchise for India. Miss Earth is regarded as one of the biggest and most prestigious international pageants in the world. At such a young age and with very less experience in the pageant industry, a few people had apprehensions, if Nikhil was the right person to handle such a big contest’s franchise however, his actions proved that experience comes for doing things and not merely by seeing them. He successfully organized Glamanand Supermodel India 2015 contest and the winner of the pageant represented India at Miss Earth 2015 held in Austria.
The very same year, he was also awarded yet another big international pageant’s franchise – Miss International. 2015 was the year when the Indian pageant industry was not very stable and a lot of revamping was happening. Several year-old associations came to sudden ends and new and fresh tie-ups were being witnessed. Nikhil’s organization came under spotlight as in the same year (2015), it formed association with two of the biggest international pageants – Miss Earth and Miss International. It was something that happened for the very first time in India.
After successfully organizing a series of national pageants, in the year 2018, he launched two of his very own international pageants – Miss Multinational and Miss Teen International. Both the events were very well received by the people and fetched him great appreciation for his efforts. He also owns two of the biggest teen pageants in India – Miss Teen Diva and Miss Teen International India.
In 2021, he acquired yet another big international pageant’s franchise. It was Miss Grand International competition. At a very short notice of 7 days, he selected a candidate, prepared her and sent her to Thailand as India’s representative. She was the very beautiful winner of Glamanand Supermodel India 2018 contest, Simran Sharma. It also happened for the very first time in the history that a national delegate was selected just 7 days before the commencement of the international pageant.
Nikhil Anand has turned all the hurdles and barriers in his life to the challenges that made him realize his true potential. Today, Glamanand Supermodel India is counted amongst some of the youngest yet the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world. In a short span of 6 years, this former model became one of the most prominent pageant directors in the world.
