“On the path to success, you never fail, but simply get redirected to a different option,” said Sangarsh Verenkar while speaking about his victory at the nation’s biggest male pageant – Rubaru Mr. India. Sangarsh Verenkar was elected the winner of Rubaru Mr. India 2020-21 championship, culminated on April 8, 2021, in Goa. Along with winning this prestigious title, he also won the golden opportunity to serve as India’s representative at an international male pageant to take place in Portugal.

While speaking about his journey to the coveted title of Rubaru Mr. India Universal 2020-21, this Goa-based gentleman mentioned, “I have had a rather unconventional journey to the title. I entered the Mr. Goa competition in 2019 but did not win. I could only make up to the Top 10 that evening. My initial thoughts were perhaps I was not prepared enough to win the title; perhaps I was lacking something; perhaps I was not able to utilize my strengths and potential properly. But there was one thought that I was very certain of and it remained firm in mind – I will surely do better in future; it is just the beginning. I went back for the Rubaru Mr. India pageant and was selected to appear for the national finals. That moment I started introspecting intensively and began observing things. I began self-analysis along with polishing the areas that I felt were rusty when I went for Mr. Goa. I started accepting feedbacks from anyone who wished to support me and supported me throughout my journey. This all began in 2019 and finally on April 8, 2021, in Goa, I ended-up winning Rubaru Mr. India 2020-21 championship. That evening I realized, on the path to success, you never fail, but simply get redirected to a different option. My failure at Mr. Goa 2019 competition gave me the opportunity to introspect, it encouraged me to work on myself and taught me to handle criticism and feedbacks in a positive way. All these things paved my way to the glorious victory at the national stage.”
