Pankaj Kharbanda talks about India’s strong performance at international male pageants in 2021
India is one of the most successful nations at international male pageantry. One of the major driving forces behind India’s howling success at international male pageants is the nation’s biggest and oldest running male pageant – Rubaru Mr. India. The Rubaru Mr. India pageant contributes more than 70% to India’s male pageant sector. The year 2021 witnessed a spectacular performance by the Rubaru Mr. India 2020-21 titleholders – Shouryaditya Singh and Armaan Hakim. While Shouryaditya Singh brought India their very first placement at Mister Tourism World championship along with winning 3 awards, Armaan Hakim brought India back to the Top 5 at Mister Model International championship after 6 years.
While speaking about India’s spectacular perform at international male pageantry in 2021, the vice president of Rubaru Mr. India organization, Pankaj Kharbanda mentioned, “The year 2021 was a very different year for all of us. If we talk about pageantry, it marked the return of several international pageants after one year. The Rubaru Mr. India winners we had this year were extremely remarkable. Especially if we talk about the 2 gentlemen who recently made India proud at their respective international pageants – Shouryaditya Singh and Armaan Hakim. Both of them did a wonderful job and I do not have proper words to thank them for the efforts they put in to bring glory and pride to our nation. Shouryaditya Singh gave us our very first placement at Mister Tourism World championship and won the 2nd runner-up title. We have been participating at Mister Tourism World since the event’s inception however, we received our first placement this year. All thanks to Shouryaditya Singh. Along with that, Armaan Hakim did a splendid job by putting India back in Top 5 at Mister Model International championship by winning the 3rd runner-up title. We reached the Top 5 at Mister Model International championship after 6 years. We are extremely grateful to Armaan for delivering such a great performance and bringing India back under the spotlight. Both these gentlemen – Shourya and Armaan – were excellent titleholders and now they are exceptionally remarkable representatives. We witnessed their hardwork, the amount of efforts and dedication they put in to make our nation proud, and I do not think any amount of praise or appreciation can do justice to their deeds. We will always remain grateful to them for the work they have done and for making India proud. They are just too amazing and I hope and pray the success streak started by these 2 gentlemen will be continued by the rest of our winners in future.”
The 17th edition of Rubaru Mr. India competition culminated on April 8, 2021, in Goa. The national finals of the pageant witnessed the election of 11 titleholders and over 30 award winners. While Shouryaditya Singh was elected Rubaru Mr. India Tourism World 2020-21 and was assigned the responsibility to represent India at Mister Tourism World 2021 championship; Armaan Hakim was elected Rubaru Mr. India Model International 2020-21 and was assigned the responsibility to represent at Mister Model International 2021 championship. Both of them ended up winning runners-up titles at their respective international championships along with 2 other special awards. Shouryaditya Singh was named Mister Popularity 2021 and Best Speaker 2021 (runner-up) and Armaan Hakim was elected Best Internet Model 2021 and Best Headshot (Top 3).
