Parvi Dhaulakhandi’s odyssey from being a high school student to becoming the face of India at international platform

She is the quintessential Gen-Z girl who is confidently beautiful, academically driven and charmingly eloquent. She has already excelled in the fields of academics, athletics, linguistics and pageantry, and now is all set to walk the international runway. Her odyssey from being a vivacious and ambitious high school student to becoming the face of the nation at international level, is a pure tale of hard work, persistence and determination. She did not restrict herself to one particular sector and continued to explore as much avenues as she could. With every new exploration, she reached a new milestone. She is the newest teenaged beauty queen of India, Parvi Dhaulakhandi.

Parvi Dhaulakhandi was born in the city of Gwalior, in Madhya Pradesh. She is a senior year student at Gwalior Glory High School. Since childhood, she had big aspirations and resented to settle for mediocrity. She wanted to leave a mark behind instead of becoming a lost face in the crowd. Her ambitions and aspirations were way ahead of her age, which motivated her to take the less travelled road rather than following the usual paths. While most of the individuals during their teenage go through a phase were they discover more about themselves and try to figure out what path they need to take in life, this centennial already knew her calling in life. She already had everything planned for her. It was the year 2020, when she approached former beauty queen, Meenakshi Mathur to train her for beauty pageants. Gone are the days when beauty pageants were looked at as merely a source of entertainment; today they have cemented themselves as platforms where empowered women, from all walks of life, join hands to work collectively for various social causes. Parvi understood this notion at a very young age and she always dreamt of wearing that scintillating crown, not because of the title and recognition it would offer her, but because of the fact that it would give her the power to influence others in a positive way.

She started her training under Meenakshi Mathur, and in late 2020, she won her first crown. She was crowned Star Steps Miss Teen India 2020. It offered her direct entry to two national pageants – Miss Teen Diva 2020 and Rubaru Miss India Elite 2021. She was crowned Miss Popular 2020 at Miss Teen Diva 2020 competition and a few months later she travelled to New Delhi, to participate in the national finals of Rubaru Miss India Elite 2021. At the pageant, Parvi was the youngest competitor. She was often considered too young to wear the crown and to handle the responsibilities that would come with it. As the event progressed, she started to ace all the preliminary segments. The people who considered her too young and naïve, now became her biggest supporters. It was the evening of August 29, 2021, when India welcomed their newest teenaged beauty queen. Parvi Dhaulakhandi from Gwalior was elected the winner of Rubaru Miss India Elite 2021 competition. Along with winning the title, she also won Miss Talented 2021 special award, proving that she was much more than a beautiful face.

As part of her winning package, she won the golden opportunity of representing India at the biggest international beauty championship based in Oceania – Face of Beauty International. Headquartered in New Zealand, Face of Beauty International is one of the fastest growing international beauty championships. The event has been hosted by nations like the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, India and Mongolia to name a few. At 18 years of age, Parvi became one of the youngest representatives, in the history of Indian pageantry, chosen to represent the nation at an international beauty championship. It is not every day when a teenager is chosen to shoulder the responsibility of being India’s face at an international event. However this Gwalior beauty, chose to follow the path she wanted, and she achieved success with her determination and resilience.
