Rubaru Miss Globe India, Evneet Kaur Juneja talks about Stars Steps Academy
Star Steps Academy is the first beauty pageant and model-training institution based in central India. The institution was established by former beauty queen and model, Meenakshi Mathur in Madhya Pradesh. Since its establishment, the academy as trained several individuals who have gone on to win national as well international beauty pageant awards and titles. One of the most popular faces produced by the Star Steps Academy is Rubaru Miss Globe India 2019, Evneet Kaur Juneja. She was crowned the winner of Rubaru Miss India Elite 2019 beauty pageant and went on to represent India at one of the oldest running international beauty pageants in the world – The Miss Globe beauty pageant held in Albania and Montenegro.
Evneet Kaur Juneja began her journey at Star Steps and became one of the most successful Indian pageant performers for the year 2019. While speaking about her experience at the Star Steps Academy, she mentioned, “My pageant journey began at the Star Steps. Beauty pageant industry these days has become very competitive. I have witnessed it as I have been part of national as well international pageants. Every candidate that I met during my pageants – Rubaru Miss India Elite and Miss Globe 2019 – seemed so well prepared and strong. Gone are the days when the candidate with the most beautiful face used to walk away with the crown. Nowadays, the requirements to win a pageant is far more intricate and it is not superficial anymore. I remember my training days at Star Steps Academy, I had a series of grooming sessions focusing on diction, communication skills, soft-skills, public speaking, rampwalk sessions and many more. I was not just trained to look a certain way, the training program that I underwent focused on polishing the areas that I was lacking. I would also like to extend my humblest gratitude to the backbone of the Star Steps Academy, Meenakshi Mathur and Rohit Sharma, for everything that they have done for me.”
She further added, “After I won Rubaru Miss India Elite 2019 contest in New Delhi, I had to shoulder the responsibility of representing India Miss Globe 2019 contest. That was the time, my second segment of the training began at Star Steps. There was a series of analysis done by the Star Steps team and according to that my training sessions were conducted. From my walk to the outfit selection to my communication skills, Meenakshi Ma’am worked on every area that she believed required more attention. All this was done for several days. In October, I went for Miss Globe contest and got placed amongst the best 15 models at the event. Other than that, we had a series of interviews and national TV appearances in Albania and Montenegro, I am glad that I was able to do justice to the title I won and made my nation proud. Star Steps Academy played a crucial role in my pageant journey and I will forever remain grateful.”
Evneet Kaur Juneja was amongst the very few Miss India titleholders from 2019 who went on to secure a placement at an international pageant. As her reign continued, she judged various pageants and served as the jury member for India’s biggest online beauty pageant – The world of pageants, organized by Star Steps.
