Rubaru Mr. India, Tumken Sora pens down an emotional note for his hometown, Basar in Lepa Rada
This year (2021), Tumken Sora marked Arunachal Pradesh’s debut at the biggest male pageant of India – Rubaru Mr. India, and walked away with the winner’s title. He also became the very first model from the Northeast to get appointed as the brand ambassador for Rubaru Mr. India competition. Recently, he took to social media while expressing his emotions for this hometown – Basar in Lepa Rada, and took everyone back to his childhood memory lane.
In an emotional note, he mentioned, “A smile full of happiness, gratitude and emotions. As I was walking down the street of ‘Basar’ in Lepa Rada District, where I spent my childhood; where I have thousands of memories and now walking down the same streets with something different; with an achievement, having a smile full of gratitude and admiration around the people with loving attitude, hence adding one more memory. Time changes so does the people but genuine hearts and emotions remain the same. Thankful to everyone for receiving me in a grand way, another way in which everyone showed their love and support Thank you, Mom and Dad for having such a great reception for me, and everything you have done for me, it’s never enough to repay you even so I won’t say it I’ll try to do it. Thanks to the Rubaru Mr. India organization, Mr. Sandeep Kumar and Mr. Pankaj Kharbanda. This was possible because of you guys gave me such a big platform. Thank you Mr. Jack Taniya Budh for showing us the way to this prestigious title and always encouraging us. Thank you everyone for the love and support.”
In 2019, Tumken Sora was elected Mr. Arunachal and got direct entry to Rubaru Mr. India final show. The following year (in 2020), he won the Best Actor award at the annual Arunachal Film Festival and in 2021, he added one more feather to his cap, when he was elected the winner of India’s biggest and longest running male pageant – Rubaru Mr. India. Tumken Sora is also regarded as one of the most well-accomplished and versatile Mr. India winners in history of Indian pageantry.
