West Siang’s Minjom Padu won the 2021 Mr. Arunachal championship

The new Mr. Arunachal titleholder was elected on November 7, 2021, at Dorjee Khandu State Convention Center in Itanagar. Minjom Padu from the West Siang district was proclaimed the new Mr. Arunachal at the culmination of the grand event. He succeeded the previous titleholder, Tumken Sora from Lepa Rada. Along with winning this prestigious title, Minjom also won direct entry to the national finals of India’s biggest male pageant – Rubaru Mr. India. He will serve as Arunachal Pradesh’s representative at the 2022 Rubaru Mr. India championship. Minjom Padu was also named the face of Northeast Fashion Week at the grand event held in the capital city.

Minjom Padu hails from Aalo in the West Siang district, and is currently based in Itanagar. He is 23 years old, and has black hair and brown eyes. This academically driven young gentleman holds a degree in Civil Engineering. He performed consistently well during all the segments of the Mr. Arunachal 2021 championship. His concrete thought process and wit were two of his major strengths during the championship. During the question-and-answer rounds he mentioned about issues like importance of education, challenges faced by the youth in contemporary era, and how traits like punctuality and dedication can lead anyone to the path of success and help them achieve their goals. After winning the Mr. Arunachal, he will now embark upon another exciting journey – the 2022 Rubaru Mr. India.

About the Rubaru Mr. India championship – Rubaru Mr. India is India’s biggest and oldest running male pageant. The event was created by Indian entrepreneur, Sandeep Kumar in the year 2004, and Mumbai-based Pankaj Kharbanda is the current vice president of the organization. Rubaru Mr. India contributes more than 70% to the Indian male pageant sector. It produces more than 10 titleholders and almost 35 special award winners annually. It also holds the record of producing the maximum of international male pageant award winners and titleholders in India. The pageant is associated with more than 10 international male pagesnta and modelling competitions across the globe.

About the Mr. Arunachal championship – Mr. Arunachal is a one of the biggest state level pageants in India. The pageant is organized by Aries Corps event management group under the leadership of its founder and president, Jack Taniya Budh. The winner of Mr. Arunachal title serves as Arunachal Pradesh’s representative at Rubaru Mr. India championship. Over the years, Mr. Arunachal championship has produced multiple faces that have excelled in the fields of arts, entertainment and fashion. The eminent league of Mr. Arunachal comprises event presenter and host, Lod Akash; model, actor and the brand ambassador of Rubaru Mr. India organization, Tumken Sora and model and actor, Metum Timba.
